Athletic Banquet Big Success!

 

The Annual Cardinal Carter Athletic Banquet was a huge succes with over 150 athletes, coaches, parents and school administration present. With over 100 awards presented there were many winners and everyone enjoyed the Colasanti's Buffet meal.  The highlight of the evening was the presentationof the Luke McFadden Memorial Award.  Luke who was a Cardinal Carter football player during his time at our school.  Luke suffered from depression and took his own life a short time after graduating and enrolling in college.  Mr. & Mrs. McFadden have provided a bursary in Luke's name to a graduating football player for the past 12 years.  The recipient must be attending a post-secondary institution and have been dedicated to Cougar Football through high school.  The winner receives $1000 toward their education.  The McFaddens have been very generous in donating $12 000 to 14 different athletes.  This years winner was Joe Slikboer.  The rest of the main awards are listed below:
